Petronilla Wandeto
Petronilla is a doctoral researcher at the International Institute of Social Studies (ISS) of the Erasmus University Rotterdam. Her research looks into the role of neopatrimonialism and pockets of effectiveness in policy-making for the poor. Prior to this, she worked with non-profit, public, and private organizations, most recently the International Fund for Agricultural Development (IFAD), the German Institute for Global and Area Studies (GIGA), UN-Habitat, and the Central Bank of Kenya. She has a masters in Public Management (Public Policy and Administration) from Potsdam University, Germany, and a bachelor's in Actuarial Science from Dedan Kimathi University of Technology, Kenya. Her research interests have been on the political economy of regionalism in Africa, food systems transformation, land governance, urban innovation, investment promotion, and foreign direct investment policies.
