María holds a Master’s degree in Economic Development and Growth from Universidad Carlos III de Madrid and Lund University. She previously worked for BBVA Research, Bank of Spain and Instituto Valenciano de Investigaciones Económicas in topics related to the Spanish pension system, education and labour market. Her research aims to explore the relationship between labour regulation and economic performance in Sub-Saharan Africa.
